Digitech Group is recruiting a Functional Consultant - future Project Manager
Context
As part of its strong international development, the company DIGITECH - a publisher/integrator of solutions for the administrations' digital transformation - is strengthening its teams.
Our footprint is growing in Africa, Pacific and Caribbean/Latin America regions, DIGITECH provides solutions on national scale such as the management of civil registry and vital statistics.
Basic mission
Attached to the Operations Department and integrated within a Project team, the mission of the functional consultant is to ensure the understanding and formalization of the customer needs and requirements/standards of international players. Once the perimeters are understood, those shall be shared with solution architects and solution development teams. Another aspect of the role is to support customers and internal teams in the solution validation and operational preparation phases (training, documentation, etc…).
The position of functional consultant will evolve into a Project Manager position within a period of 2 to 3 years with support from the company through training, role-playing and internal coaching.
Activities
- Collection and analysis of the functional and non-functional needs of the client
- Monitoring and analysis of the requirements and standards defined and supported by the international organizations involved in the field (UN and attached organizations UNICEF, UNOPS, WHO, other international NGOs, dedicated organization: APAI-CRVS, etc.)
- Contribution to the approach and methodology (Classic cascading-Waterfall, AGILE, etc.) to carry out the project with the project team as a representative/contributor on the specificities of the activity "Specifications Solutions / Qualification / Documentation / Training", preparation of templates and support for the methodology,
- Preparation, coordination and facilitation of information gathering workshops with the client,
- Formalization of customer needs according to the defined approach/methodology and obtaining validation of the specifications by the customer
- Accompaniment of the client and internal teams (Architects and developers) in the convergence towards the definition of a common and validated solution
- Support for internal teams (Architects and developers) in understanding and taking into account the standards and requirements of international organizations
- Definition of test methodologies and drafting/preparation of test books to check the compliance of the delivered solution with the objectives set and to detect any anomalies.
- Accompaniment of the Client and support to the project manager in the validation / qualification phase of the solution
- Drafting of solution documentation and preparation of solution training materials
- Preparation and delivery of customer training sessions
- Animate and supervise the implementation of processes for the transition to production of solutions:
- Formalization of requests for correction or evolution of solutions (registration of the bug in a tracking software, resolution, etc.).
- Skills training for customer functional actors in charge of the application domains delivered
Profile
- Diplomas: Engineering schools or Master2 (DESS/DEA) in computer science, Doctorate or Bac+3/4 type diploma in computer science (MIAGE, IUP computer science, computer mastery, etc.)
- Experience: 1 to 3 years as a functional consultant or study engineer in a SSII or a software publisher or within a DSI.
- Rigorous, methodical, organized, proactive
- Strong ability to listen, analyze, synthesize and write
- Concern for customer satisfaction
- Available for trips abroad (travel duration of the order of 1 to 2 weeks)
- Certification in functional analysis methodology and/or project management (PMI, AGILE) would be an asset
- Excellent English (read / spoken / written)
- Spanish would be a plus
- Knowledge of Civil Registry ecosysteme, Citizen-Administration relationship process would be great
